On the 19th of March 2021, WeHost were honoured with the opportunity to host a fundraising event for the incredible charity Our House Foundation.

The mission of Our House Foundation is to provide private financial support to Our House, Inc., (OHI) a not-for-profit public agency that provides housing, employment, and other social services to individuals with developmental disabilities.’ – Our House Foundation, 2021
The goal for the evening was to raise $30,000 of their main target of $50,000. This evening was to raise money and help them restock their kitchens for the individuals to carry on with their cooking classes once covid restrictions ease. We were able to hear and witness the joy each individuals’ personal gains from having the opportunity to take part in these classes, as well as an insight to other opportunities Our House provide for each individual.
The evening got off to a great start with our Roulette Raffle selling out before the evening began, guests were able to pay $20 to be entered in the 36-number raffle.
Host High Roller Harry presented the evening to a large number of guests and began with a video introducing us to the Foundation and what they do. He then began explaining the entertainment for the evening and how everything would run.
Swiftly, guests were moved into their breakout rooms with a multitude of hosts to begin playing Blackjack and Three Card Poker. Throughout the evening, guests were able to donate to the Foundation via links in the Zoom chat; by paying for more chips, taking part in a silent auction or just donating.
At the halfway point, we paused our games to head back to the main room for the Roulette Raffle reveal. Up for grabs, were a $150 Wegmans Gift Card and a $150 Fiorino Restaurant Gift Card.
It was now time to head back to the breakouts room for a second round of Three Card Poker and our fun-filled Races!
Time flew by and it was already time to head back to the main room for a spin on the Wheel of Prizes! Guests were entered onto the wheel with 1 chance for every $100 in chips they had earnt throughout the evening. Incredible sponsors donated prizes such as a ‘Twelve Months of Wine’ hamper worth $250, a ‘Get Fit’ gym pass worth $765, and a ‘Family Fun’ pass worth $270.
The evening was received extremely well, with guests leaving full of happiness and our dealers ecstatic, raising a huge amount of money for an incredible charity. In total, Our House Foundation had a target of $50,000 to reach and the surpassed their target, raising more than $75,000!
